A normal menstrual cycle for a woman can be anywhere from 21-35 days and bleeding can last 2-7 days . Some irregularity of flow can happen without any cause for concern. However, with persistent abnormalities, some women may find their cycles are absent or coming too heavily or frequently and this could be a sign of another problem. Some women have PCOS, prolactin issues, low body fat content or excessive exercise or stress, uterine fibroids or endometriosis, body dysmorphic syndrome leading to eating disorders, thyroid dysfunction, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or premature ovarian failure to name a few. Our team will help diagnose and treat any menstrual or ovulatory abnormality.
